This project involved a comprehensive, full-yard remodel of a large estate in Southern California, resulting in a cohesive, resort-style outdoor living space. The design successfully integrates the clean, sharp lines of modern structures with the abundant, soft textures of naturalistic, drought-tolerant plantings. This balance creates a sophisticated yet comfortable environment, perfect for everything from relaxing afternoons to large social gatherings.

Key Outdoor Features

• Resort Pool and Pergola Lounge: Features a clean, rectangular pool next to an expansive paved deck. A slatted wood pergola provides stylish shade over dining and lounging areas.
• The Estate Sports Complex: Dedicated areas include a full-size basketball court and a separate tennis or multi-use court, screened by tall greenery for privacy and a structured look.
• Elevated Edible Garden: Three modern, raised wooden planters create a functional and beautiful kitchen garden, conveniently located near the main patio spaces.
• Multiple Fire Pit Social Zones: The property features two distinct evening gathering spots: an intimate circular fire bowl set amidst flowering sage, and a structured square fire pit lounge.
• Naturalistic Pathways: The landscape features sandy/gravel pathways bordered by a rich palette of layered grasses and perennials (featuring purples and pinks), offering a soft, flowing, and texture-rich look that thrives in the California climate.
