What is BACQYARD?

BACQYARD is an online landscape design service that helps you design a yard you'll love at a price you'll love even more. Our goal is to bring beautiful outdoor spaces to all with an easy, affordable and personal design process.

I am interested in becoming a BACQYARD designer, how do I get started?

We are always accepting applications to join our talented landscape design team but our application process is competitive. If you have expert experience in landscape design, please email your resume and design portfolio to support@bacqyard.com. We will review your application and if your application meets the requirements, we will reach out to schedule an interview.

How are you different than traditional landscape design services?

We combine landscape design and technology to streamline the design process to make it affordable, fun, and with no hidden costs. We connect you with professional landscape designers, and landscape contractors that work together to bring your dream yard to reality.

BACQYARD is a national online landscape design firm providing landscape design services in all 50 states.

How do I get started?

Login to our website and sign up for one of our design packages . Once you’ve selected your design package you will be redirected to your client portal where we will get to know you, your needs, your style and your home. Submit photos and answer a few questions. Once these steps are completed, a designer will get in touch with you to schedule a 1:1 call or video call and start your project.

How personalized will my design be?

All designs are custom made just for you keeping in mind your style, needs, home style and budget requirements.

Can you work with any budget?

Yes, we can work within your budget. We believe quality design can happen at any price point, and our expert designers will make sure to keep your budget in mind when designing your yard. We can also provide phased plans to make budgeting of the project easier.

Can you work with any property size?

Our design packages are best used for property lot sizes of 1/2 acre or less. Do you have a larger lot? Contact us! We would be happy to provide you with a custom quote.

How does the process work?

The online landscape design process is super simple! Here's how it works:
- Select a design package
- Complete the questions in the client dashboard
- Upload photos and a video of your property
- Upload inspirational photos
- Have a 1:1 phone call or video call with a designer
- After 3 - 3½ weeks you will receive your version 1 design (delivery times may be extended during our busy season)
- Send us lots of feedback
- We revise your design
- Receive final design package
- Bring it to life!

How long does it take to get my design?

You will receive your version 1 design 3 - 3½ weeks after the video call with a designer. Delivery times may be extended during our busy season.

Can I speak or chat to a designer directly?

Absolutely! Feel free to call, text, video chat or email a designer. Your design team will be super focused on bringing your dream yard to life so we ask that any smaller requests be directed to your design assistants, they will be guiding you throughout the entire design process.

Where do I upload photos and videos of my yard?

After you purchase your design package you will be redirected to your client dashboard. In the client dashboard you will find the "About Me" tab, here you will find the "upload property photos section" this is where you can upload photos or videos of your current space.

Do the photos need to be certain file types?

Our site accepts JPG, PNG, PDF, GIF and Video files under 10MB.

Can my designer incorporate items I already have?

We can absolutely incorporate any existing items into your design! In the client portal we have a designated section for you to list and upload photos of the items you want us to incorporate in your design.

Will you help me find a contractor to install my design?

BACQYARD works with landscape contractors in select areas, after the design phase is complete we can help find you a contractor to give you a quote for installing your design. (Contractor matching available in select areas, please contact us for more information).

Is it required that I use your contractor?

No, you do not have to use our contractors. You are welcome to use any contractor.

Will my design be construction ready or installed exactly as shown?

BACQYARD landscape designs are a great way to show your landscape contractor your vision for your space. Our design plans are conceptual and any final construction or installation decisions will be made on site by your landscape contractor.

Can your designs be used for permitting purposes?

We do not provide construction drawings, professionally stamped documents for permitting, or grading plans. Our design plans are conceptual and any final construction or installation decisions will be made on site by your landscape contractor.
