This project represents a complete, family-focused redesign of the entire yard, front and back, in California. The core design principle was to create a multi-functional, modern oasis that is both aesthetically sophisticated and highly durable for daily family life. The design utilizes a consistent palette of light wood tones, large-format concrete pavers, and a variety of water-wise and drought-tolerant planting.

Key Features of the Yard Transformation

• Integrated Indoor-Outdoor Living: A light wood pergola and sliding glass doors seamlessly connect the indoor living space to the main patio, enhancing flow and daylight.
• Zoned Entertainment Patio: The backyard features a spacious patio defined by oversized concrete pavers with grass joints, visually separating the covered dining area and the fire pit lounge.
• Contemporary Front Yard Curb Appeal: The front yard design introduces a clean, welcoming entryway with geometric stepping stones, low-profile fencing, and large succulents/agaves for a striking, drought-tolerant statement.
• Dedicated Family Play Areas: The design thoughtfully incorporates areas for children, including a natural wood swing set and a turf area suitable for ball games (featuring a soccer goal), all without compromising the sophisticated aesthetic.
